Fix ROS Legacy Connection, Login and Install Errors

Most ROS Legacy problems fall into four groups: a download that stalls or ends at the wrong size, a game that will not install or open, a Mirae Labs sign-in that fails, and a client that cannot reach a match or lags once inside. Pick your symptom and work down its checklist from the top. Every check uses the real file names, byte sizes and account pages, and your ticks stay in place until you close the tab. Mirae Labs has not published a list of error codes, so the checks start from what you can verify yourself.

The download stops or the file is incomplete

Against the official details
Open the file's Properties. The current Windows ZIP is 8,251,115,387 bytes and the Android APK is 108,160,901 bytes; a smaller file is an interrupted download.
Run Get-FileHash in PowerShell on the ZIP and compare the result with the hash on the download page, character for character.
If that does not solve it
Leave room on one drive for the 8.25 GB archive and for everything it extracts.
Remove ROSLegacy_Install_202609121256.zip from September; its Myth Games download address stopped working on 26 September 2026.
If the browser reports a network error, download again from the official link instead of resuming a partial file or trying a mirror site.

The game will not install or open

Against the official details
The Windows download is a ZIP archive, not an installer. Extract everything into one folder and start the game from there, not from inside the archive window.
The APK needs Android 4.1 or newer and installs as net.roslegacy.prod. Allow installs from your browser or file manager when Android asks.
RoS-Legacy-Installer-0.14.0-x64.exe is a Windows program and cannot open on an iPhone or iPad.
If that does not solve it
The 108 MB APK pulls about 3.7 GB of resource packs, so keep that much storage free and stay on Wi-Fi for the first start.
Ghillie installs with the game, but The Fiord needs its own download from its map card before you can queue on it.
Never paste replacement DLLs or patched files into the game folder. Changed game files break the EULA and can trigger Aegis Anti-Cheat.

Sign-in fails

Against the official details
Try the same details at mirae-labs.com/login in a browser. If that works, the account is fine and the problem sits in the client or the connection.
Old NetEase Rules of Survival logins do not carry over. If you never registered at mirae-labs.com/register, create a new ID there first.
The sign-in form takes either one. Usernames are 3 to 12 letters and numbers, so a name with spaces or symbols was never valid.
If that does not solve it
Use mirae-labs.com/reset-password and look in the spam folder before asking for a second link. Reinstalling the game leaves the password unchanged.
If the client reports an invalid server response while the website accepts your details, the fault is on the service side; note the time and try again later.

No connection to a match, or high ping

Against the official details
roslegacy.net showed an error page on 31 October 2026 while the download links kept working, so a dead homepage does not prove the game servers are down.
Announcements go to the ROS: Legacy Discord at discord.gg/roslegacy, which had about 147,000 members at the end of October 2026.
If your copy came from an older APK or the September Windows ZIP, reinstall from the current file so you are not on an outdated build.
If that does not solve it
Sign-in, lobby, queue or match loading: where it stops tells you whether to look at the account, your network or the servers.
Use a cable or a stronger Wi-Fi signal and pause other downloads, including The Fiord map download, while you play.
Close the game, restart your router or switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data, then sign in again.

High ping and lag inside a match

The match HUD shows your ping beside the clock and battery icons in the bottom-left corner; the screenshot below caught it at 198 ms in an Open Beta match. If the figure climbs mid-match while nothing else on your network is busy, the delay lies on the route between you and the game server.

There is no published list of server regions and no setting for picking a closer server. What you control is your end of the connection: a steady link, no background downloads and no other programs streaming while you play.

Is ROS Legacy down right now?

Look at the official Discord first, because a broken roslegacy.net homepage on its own says nothing about the game servers. If sign-in works on mirae-labs.com, the account service is up too, and the connection checks above show what to try on your side before posting.

Why does the game say my installation is incomplete?

Check the archive first: compare your ZIP with the 8,251,115,387-byte size in the file table, extract every file into one folder and start the game from that folder. On Android, let the resource packs finish downloading before your first match.

Will reinstalling ROS Legacy fix a login problem?

No. Your account and password belong to Mirae Labs, not to the game files, so deleting and reinstalling the client changes nothing about signing in. Test the same details on mirae-labs.com/login and use the reset page if the password is the problem.

Can I play ROS Legacy on an iPhone?

Not natively. The file offered at the iOS address is RoS-Legacy-Installer-0.14.0-x64.exe, a Windows program, and the official mobile chooser showed iOS as Coming Soon. The mobile page explains that installer and the Android route in detail.
